Python Basics 101: Intro to Python

University of Birmingham
Thu, Feb 11, 6:00 PM (GMT)

About this event

Do you have some modules that involve Python, but feel like you could use a recap?

Do you want to gain confidence and create personal projects independently?

Or, maybe you’ve never touched programming before, but want to learn more about it?

Now's the time to get involved!

DSC University of Birmingham is happy to announce the launch of our new workshop series - "Python Basics 101". The series is run in collaboration with the Women in Science and Engineering society at the university, and is dedicated to anyone interested in learning the basics of Python programming.

During this first event, we will explain the basic syntax of the language, and create our first project in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Volunteers from DSC and WiSE will be there to help and are always happy to answer any questions.

Events will be held once fortnightly, starting next week! It’s recommended that you attend each session to gain a solid understanding of the language.
